Shikon laughed. "Recruit? Gimme a break. Do I look like some jerk's sidekick?" She said sarcastically, leaning against a tree. "I just came to enjoy the show, though I'm disappointed to see that there won't be any refreshments."

"A half-blood?" Shikon tilted her head to the side. "I didn't expect a half blood to be here." She smiled, looking once more in Jace's direction. "but the hottie was something I expected."

Shikon rolled her eyes. She smiled at his comment, but not so much at how he almost kissed the girl.

"What do you have against the guy?" Shikon asked her, raising an eyebrow.

"Wha-" Shikon didn't get a chance to finish her question as he carried her off in his arms. Where could 'home' be? Her cave? He didn't know where it was, and it was pretty small. His house? No, he had a family there. "Where?" She asked.

Shikon paced the clearing, impatient. Where is here? He promised he'd be here! She thought, scowling. She growled quietly, her red eyes ablaze. Five more minutes, then I'm leaving. She thought, after checking her watch. 12:24 a.m.

"Jace!" Shikon greeted him with a hug as soon as he was on the ground. She stepped back, forcing herself to frown, though it was difficult. "You're almost half an hour late, you know." She pointed out.
((Did you know that gerund is a word? I did not XD Imma look it up))

Shikon's frown broke, revealing her affectionate smile. "What did you tell them, anyway?" She asked, starting to pull a rubber band off her wrist. She wore a red and black plaid skirt, a black blouse with a bloody spiderweb design on it, and her black converse, with her long red hair down.

"Yes, I would." Shikon said, though she didn't appreciate it when he ignored her questions. "So how have you been?" She asked. It had been a week since they had met.

"Same here." Shikon said, smiling broadly. "I've missed you." She leaned in to kiss him, her hands on his shoulders.

Shikon followed him quickly, grabbing a hold of his hand to walk beside him. "Show me what?" She asked.

Shikon sat down next to him, looking lost. "Why're you showing me a flower?" She asked.

Shikon shut her eyes, but slowly opened them. "So many things to ask..." She said, shaking her head and chuckling. "Why did you just throw that at me?"

Shikon looked taken aback. "I, uh, can't really think of anything I want," She said. Except... She shook her head, knowing she couldn't ask for such a thing.

Shikon smiled. "And how did you even find out about this?" She asked.

"I'm sure it wasn't." She said sarcastically. "So...antlers, huh?" She raised her eyebrows.

"Nothing. There's nothing in the world that I want that I don't already have." Shikon said stubbornly.

"Okay," Shikon said, standing up. "Sounds nice." She smiled, but then turned as she heard a quiet 'snap' coming from the trees. Must have been my imagination, She thought, shaking her head.

Shikon rolled her eyes. "No normal person comes out to the forest in the middle of the night." She pointed out. "I'm sure it was just a flying squirrel or something." She smiled.

Shikon looked around, scanning the forest. "Who would be out here at this time of night?" She thought aloud. Then she realized, it must be someone looking for Jace. "Jace, I bet it someone who's looking for you."
